How to install xtrace on Debian Unstable (Sid)


Install xtrace

Installing xtrace package on Debian Unstable (Sid) is as easy as running the following command on terminal:

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install xtrace

xtrace package information

distro Debian Unstable (Sid)
section Main
name xtrace
version 1.3.1-1
description trace communication between X client and server
subsection x11
website xtrace.alioth.debian.org
maintainer Bernhard R. Link

Uninstall xtrace

To remove just xtrace package itself from Debian Unstable (Sid) execute on terminal:

sudo apt-get remove xtrace

Uninstall xtrace and it’s dependent packages

To remove the xtrace package and any other dependant package which are no longer needed from Debian Sid.

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove xtrace

Purging xtrace

If you also want to delete configuration and/or data files of xtrace from Debian Sid then this will work:

sudo apt-get purge xtrace

To delete configuration and/or data files of xtrace and it’s dependencies from Debian Sid then execute:

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove xtrace
