How to install yasr on Debian Unstable (Sid)


Install yasr

Installing yasr package on Debian Unstable (Sid) is as easy as running the following command on terminal:

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install yasr

yasr package information

distro Debian Unstable (Sid)
section Main
name yasr
version 0.6.9-5
description General-purpose console screen reader
subsection admin
website yasr.sourceforge.net
maintainer Debian Accessibility Team

Uninstall yasr

To remove just yasr package itself from Debian Unstable (Sid) execute on terminal:

sudo apt-get remove yasr

Uninstall yasr and it’s dependent packages

To remove the yasr package and any other dependant package which are no longer needed from Debian Sid.

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove yasr

Purging yasr

If you also want to delete configuration and/or data files of yasr from Debian Sid then this will work:

sudo apt-get purge yasr

To delete configuration and/or data files of yasr and it’s dependencies from Debian Sid then execute:

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove yasr
