How to install yaws on Debian Unstable (Sid)


Install yaws

Installing yaws package on Debian Unstable (Sid) is as easy as running the following command on terminal:

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install yaws

yaws package information

distro Debian Unstable (Sid)

name yaws
version 2.0.2-2
description High performance HTTP 1.1 webserver written in Erlang

website yaws.hyber.org
maintainer Debian Erlang Packagers

Uninstall yaws

To remove just yaws package itself from Debian Unstable (Sid) execute on terminal:

sudo apt-get remove yaws

Uninstall yaws and it’s dependent packages

To remove the yaws package and any other dependant package which are no longer needed from Debian Sid.

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove yaws

Purging yaws

If you also want to delete configuration and/or data files of yaws from Debian Sid then this will work:

sudo apt-get purge yaws

To delete configuration and/or data files of yaws and it’s dependencies from Debian Sid then execute:

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove yaws
