How to install zsh-syntax-highlighting on Debian Unstable (Sid)


Install zsh-syntax-highlighting

Installing zsh-syntax-highlighting package on Debian Unstable (Sid) is as easy as running the following command on terminal:

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install zsh-syntax-highlighting

Uninstall zsh-syntax-highlighting

To remove just zsh-syntax-highlighting package itself from Debian Unstable (Sid) execute on terminal:

sudo apt-get remove zsh-syntax-highlighting

Uninstall zsh-syntax-highlighting and it’s dependent packages

To remove the zsh-syntax-highlighting package and any other dependant package which are no longer needed from Debian Sid.

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove zsh-syntax-highlighting

Purging zsh-syntax-highlighting

If you also want to delete configuration and/or data files of zsh-syntax-highlighting from Debian Sid then this will work:

sudo apt-get purge zsh-syntax-highlighting

To delete configuration and/or data files of zsh-syntax-highlighting and it’s dependencies from Debian Sid then execute:

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove zsh-syntax-highlighting
